This is a pack of 5 skim and scan worksheets to help children practice their scanning skills and reading speed. This sheets would work well for years 4, 5, and 6. Each sheet has a section of text and ten words that they have to find within in the text. In my class we do it as a race which works well. It is also a great opportunity to talk about the language that they have found.
