Speaking task using visual cues : talking about my favourite type of holiday

Slides with selected pictures to prompt students to use key vocabulary on the topic of holiday. With this, students have a support speaking mat to ensure that they use complex structures and A* structures in their speaking. I am planning to use this to prepare students with their speaking controlled assessment. After this, they will be ready to answer their first controlled assessment question on their favourite type of holiday. I do think it will also be useful to train year 9 students to speak with visual cues as this will be a requirement with the new GCSEs.
