Spelling ar

This resource contains 21 different activities to teach and practise spelling words with ‘ar’. It is suitable for whole class use, small SEN groups and home schooling by a parent or tutor. The learning begins with a tracking exercise and includes a word investigation and different word sorts and pupils are encouraged to find patterns and rules themselves. There are lots of fun ways for children to practise and consolidate this spelling pattern. Pupils will have the opportunity to write words in the context of dictated sentences as well as composing their own sentences or short story by using words in this unit that have been shown as pictures.
