I have put together a template for Subject Leaders/Heads of Department to create their structure for a spiralled curriculum. Curricula should be spiralled (constantly recapped and referred to) in order for students to build a solid understanding of their subjects. This helps students to succeed in a knowledge based curriculum.
The curriculum map is structured by:
- Each Key Stage and Year Group
- Topics of Study
- Recap and links to previous knowledge
- Cultural Capital links
- National Curriculum links
- Space for links to Primary School knowledge (speak with feeder schools)
This is fully editable and easy to fill in.
