thanks fro sharing - a helpful start for me
SRE letter for parents. The SRE letter for parents is very useful but tends towards a very specific view of SRE - the whole teaching about puberty bit - which tends to get taught at the end of KS2. SRE is a subject that should be, and is, taught progressively from the Foundation Stage onwards. Could a newer version of this letter show this please? Parents/carers are a lot less anxious about SRE when they realise it's a developmental, skill-based learning about life (much like parenting itself), rather than a 'programme' of teaching facts that happens at a certain age with no apparent preparation. Then a version of the letter could be given out at the start of each Key Stage, which would make more sense and develop better support and understanding from parents/carers.
Thanks so much. Just what I was looking for. xx
