This resource consists of a question document and a question document with answers so the teacher can display on the board when peer marking. I got my students to staple these into the inside cover of their exercise books and give themselves a mark out of 36.
At the time of my students doing this (week commencing 5th Sept), the students have 36 weeks INC holidays/ 29 weeks without holidays until their GCSE’s begin. It is for this reason that I have picked 36 questions and asked the bous question about the relevance of the number 36, in an effort to focus them for the year ahead.
The audit has a question for each of the set texts as well as a general knowledge/ terminology round. We are going to use these audits to inform revision as well as areas of weakness in the year ahead.
NOTE: I am following EDUQAS Teaching Model 1 in my teaching/ SOW and my school is only providing Media Studies at GCSEl, as a three-year Course. Moreover, some of the tasks in lesson and for H/W are dependent upon owning the EDUQAS GCSE Revision Guide.
