This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 3 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds, NOCN and Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, editable, 110-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 42-page workbook on Outcomes 21, 22, 23.
These resources will help pupils to achieve these outcomes:
Extract information from lists, tables, diagrams and charts and create frequency
tables
Interpret information, to make comparisons and record changes, from different
formats including bar charts and simple line graphs
Organise and represent information in appropriate ways including tables,

The 42-page workbook contains 14 information pages, 25 worksheets (with answers), 2 progress checks and a certificate of achievement. The resource is available in PDF format and an editable PowerPoint version to enable personalisation of the resource. The workbook can be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.
PowerPoint Lesson
Many opportunities are provided within the PowerPoint for pupils to develop their knowledge and understanding of tables, diagrams, charts, bar charts and line graphs. The PowerPoint has links to three short videos on tally charts and frequency tables, bar charts and line graphs. It is an ideal resource to introduce the statistics component of the Entry Level 3 specification and for revision purposes.

This is a superb resource and is perfect for the Key Stage 4 and 5 students at our Special Needs College. The students thoroughly engage with the content and the age-appropriate nature of the layout is very much appreciated.
Great resource to support our teaching of Entry Level Maths
I have used this resource last year for the first time and found it useful in that it saved me time planning. Good and relevant resource, very detailed and graphic which added value and enhanced the visual aspect of the teaching. I found sometimes in certain parts of the resources the presentation to be somewhat long due to certain repetitions but with some tweaking that was solved.
Great resource, is age appropriate and really helpful for teaching the content at the right level. The combination of having the workbook and PowerPoint makes for quick, efficient planning - thank you!!
