This session allows KS2 pupils to explore one page openings to a story with a theme. It encourages to them explore how an author uses language, events, character action and character detail, in order to convey a theme.
This session pack includes the following:
3 WAGOLL story openings (1 page each), that each demonstrate a different theme
3 differentiated WAGOLL investigation records to support pupils in sharing their findings
This session can last between 60 and 90 minutes to ensure pupils explore the texts in more depth.
