Subtraction PowerPoint Lesson : AQA Entry Level 3 Maths

This resource has been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths who are working at Entry Level 3. It contains an age-appropriate, 85-slide PowerPoint lesson on subtraction of one number up to 1000 from another (Component 2: the four operations).

This resource will help pupils to achieve these outcomes:

subtract using three digit numbers
use and interpret subtraction in real-life situations for solving problems

The editable, 85-slide PowerPoint clearly explains how to subtract using column subtraction with and without regrouping. It provides many opportunities for pupils to practise and to apply this skill in solving real-life number problems. The PowerPoint contains links to several videos on subtraction and example exam questions. It is an ideal resource to introduce the statistics component of the Entry Level 3 specification and for revision purposes.
