After realising a lot of pupils have trouble comprehending the idea of development and what it involves, I created this helpsheet and a template to help those with SEN. I use it in the project they do before they start controlled assessment to get pupils used to the idea of development in year 10. It could however be used with year 11.

A fantastic and much needed resource. I have produced a number of systems and approaches over the years in line with development strategies for either product design or resistant materials students. However, until now, not seen the same thinking applied to textiles. Well presented, thought out and considered with areas such as suggested specific modifications, experiments with different colours or colour ways, construction improvements and possible embellishments.
