Tórthaí & Glasraí Fruit & Vegetables Vocab Booklet

This wee booklet is good for vocabulary acquisition. Rather than giving students list of vocabulary and getting them to use it or just learn it, i like to scaffold for my less able pupils. I generally find with these tasks their retention is better. I then use these. I love using these type of activities for starters and plenaries too when we’re progressing to full sentences or fully written pieces.

The .PDF contains:

1. One sheet of fruit pictures where students can look up vocab or you can provide it.
2. One sheet of vegetables pictures where students can look up vocab or you can provide it.
3. Fill in the gaps using the vocab.
4. A word search
5. Translation activity. (I divide my class and let more able work by themselves and I scaffold with less able)
6. A game of X’s and 0’s. There are 4 games. These are great to test their knowledge and fun too.
