Very insightful overview. School capacities, teacher's knowledge, Leadership views, funding are all key reasons why inclusion is successful in schools. However, students with severe intellectual disabilities might not benefit from mainstream schooling. But students with some form of physical disability will be fine in mainstream schools with inclusive school buildings and facilities.
I agree with Lewis' parents, and that is to focus on the development of basic skills and not extra curriculum subjects like foriegn languages.
