The British Empire

This is a resource designed for Y9 but could also stretch to Y10 on The British Empire. The lesson introduces students to what The British Empire was. It introduces them to key words in fun dictionary race competition, and allows them to analyse several sources from the National Archives so that they can begin to create a picture of the motivations behind expanding the British Empire. Each activity also includes a challenge activity to stretch and challenge the learning of your students!
