Powerpoint about the importance of controlling variables (i.e. conducting a fair test). Includes six examples of investigations where some variables are not being controlled. They are intended to make students think.
If printing, I found it useful to print the six examples using the 'handouts' print format with 3 slides per page, so each slide has a writing area next to it.
