The Hound of the Baskervilles

Designed for middle ability year 9 students, this is a unit of lessons made to develop their ability to read and understand nineteenth century literature in preparation for the demands of GCSE. There are 15 lessons - one per chapter of the novel; some will take longer than an hour- others are fairly short to ensure that there is time for the reading. The primary focus is reading for understanding and inference, but there are also language analysis lessons.
