The Martian - Sound waves (card sort with video)

An activity about sound waves. Learners watch the video and match the sounds they are hearing to the correct description and wave diagram.

This activity allows pupils to deepen their understanding of sound waves particularly the links between amplitude and volume and between frequency and pitch. To enhance the activity pupils can check their answers using the Google form. This allows them to see where they have made mistakes and gives them a chance to correct their work.

To create a differentiated version simply leave the descriptions attached to the wave diagrams when cutting out the cards.
