This is a powerpoint based interactive lesson that explores the meaning of Christmas and how this meaning has changed over time. Students will be invited to explore their own beliefs and views regarding the festival, which will generate plenty of discussion. With opportunities for simple data analysis and a range of simple and complex writing exercises, the lesson can be used as a stand alone lesson or as part of a scheme of work. This was originally created as an introductory lesson during the teaching of ;A Christmas Carol’ but can be used throughout key stage 3 and 4.
