This powerpoint explains what is meant by AO3 and explains how students can achieve level 4 or higher in the mark scheme. There is an example of a good AO3 response and an explanation about why it is a good response. Finally, the ppt goes through a number of the writer's purposes/messages to help students be able to explicitly discuss the context in the right way for the exam. At the end there are some activities that help students to revise the content of the lesson. These can printed off and used as work sheets.
