The Tiger who came to tea planning and templates

A week of Literacy planning for Year 1 . The children need to write Sophies Mummy a new shopping list they then receive a letter from the Zookeeper concerned about his poorly tiger, the children are asked to design a menu of healthier foods for him. Next they get a letter from the tiger thanking them for their help and inviting them to a tea party ( I held one in class with biscuits and juice and the TA wore a tiger mask,) this prompts them to write about their own party experiences. The week finishes with the children writing thank you notes and finally a recount of their tiger tea party.
