A variety of activities have been included within these lessons to maximise engagement and cater for differing learning styles. Examples of activities include - Facebook profiles, road maps, songs and plenty of opportunities to work on source analysis and skills vital for GCSE. Challenge activities (in pink bubbles) have also been included in each lesson.
Used with a higher-ability Year 8 class, but can easily be adapted to fit other ages and abilities.
Some parts, i.e. information, have been taken from other resources, but most activities are my own.

Not clear which textbook is being used for the main activities. Could you please advise on this?
Great resources for a non-specialist but I seem to be missing the sources for task in lesson 2 'Using the sources provided, make a list of all the differences between life in Britain in the 1500s and life today. Any idea how I can get this? Thanks
Great resources with interesting activities. It does mention page numbers for some of the activities but i'm not sure what book you are referring to?
Very helpful for a teacher who is not a subject specialist. Particularly good for top set, needs to be adapted down for lower sets but overall really helpful, detailed resource.
Fantastic resource and easily adapted for higher KS2 - are there any information sheets for the suitors? Or is it expected that the children research themselves in order to complete the table? :)
