This is the an engaging, interactive and interesting exploration of the morality of war. This scheme of work includes:

Lesson 1 - Operation Battleplan - an interactive war game to get students to examine the ethics of war.
Lesson 2 - How does the media portray war?
Lesson 3 - What are the key causes of war?
Lesson 4 - The Christian just war theory.
Lesson 5 - The Islamic just war theory.
Lesson 6 - Court case challenge role-play lesson: Putting the Pilots involved in the Bombing of Dresden on trial.
Lesson 7 - Padres at war.
Lesson 8 - Speaking and listening assessment challenge.

  • Worksheets, ethical dilemmas, differentiated homeworks.

22 resources included and 8 hours of classroom fun, role-play, games (and of course lots of learning thrown in for good measure). These resources have worked very well for my students and both the the upper ability and lower ability students have made excellent progress through these lessons. I hope you enjoy them as much as my students have.
