This is an engaging “true or false” activity on solving two-step inequalities. On each slide students are given five pairs of inequalities A and B and buttons “true” and “false” corresponding to each pair of inequalities. Students solve inequality A which is a two-step inequality and state whether it is equivalent to the inequality B which is of type x>a, or x<a, x≦a or x≧a. Then students crossed out the incorrect button “true” or “false”. The slides with problems are three (a total of 15 inequalities). The last five inequalities are a bit more challenging, but can also be solved with two steps.
The answer key is contained at the end of this document.
NOTE: I created this product with Google Slides. I uploaded it here in PDF format as I have included 2 PDF files - the one has each slide as a page and the other has three slides on a page for easy and more economic printing!
