TWO WHOLE LESSONS FOUNDATION nth TERM

Two (and perhaps more) lessons on finding the nth term of a linear sequence for foundation students (an +b where a is positive). The starter is differentiated and is simple number patterns. The powerpoint talks through the concept of nth term by likening it to finding numbers behind a numbered door (the term number). In the second lesson the use of the nth term (on the same presentation) is used to generate terms. The spreadsheet contains many fully differentiated tasks (at least 4) which you can select from. Most of them are write on and allow students to get through the work at some pace. There are also multi-choice tasks.
