Great for revising all content for Units 1 and 2.
All based on Jan 2021 or Nov 2020 past exam papers for Unit 1. All answers are evidenced on the marking schemes/examiners reports on Pearson’s website.
Focus on paired work - think-pair-share, retrieval and practice to get students fluent and confident.
‘Solve & switch’ activity - based on 8 mark questions (‘discuss’) Students choose a question from the deck, answer it, repeat process with other cards and then compare with their peers answers. Finally compare with marking scheme/examiners report. (Look at similarities/differences/misconceptions/gaps in knowledge etc)
‘Chat stations’ activity - x5 chat stations all multi-coloured. Focus on samples from examiners reports. These are to be pinned up around the room and in pairs students ‘chat’ about the marks they feel should be awarded and then compare with marking schemes/examiner reports and discuss in pairs how they could further improve the answers.
‘Roll & recall’ activity - You will need dice for this. The students roll the dice and then recall what’s requested of them on the instruction card. Repeat until students have exhausted all knowledge of your chosen theorist/theory.
Could be used for Unit 2 CPLD too.
