Complete unit of English for Upper KS2 - Missing Person’s Report, which links to the opening of the WW2 novel Letters From The Lighthouse by Emma Carroll. In total, around 3 weeks worth of lessons with PowerPoint slides, activity sheets and supporting resources.

Sequence:

• Identify features and purpose of a missing person’s report/poster
• Analysis of examples
• Exploration of purposeful vocabulary
• Practise sentence type writing - relative clauses
• Use of images and text to practise appearance description
• Detailed writing over two days - Detailed structure strip to aid pupils with writing as well as WAGOLL to support teaching practitioner
• Review and publish
