Unofficial exam paper for AS Level Psychology Research Methods, 7th set [24 marks]

I have written a set of unofficial exam papers for the Research Methods section of the exams. This is the 7th set.

The stimulus for this one is a correlational study investigating the relationship between age and the accuracy of eye-witness testimony.

There are 24 marks as per the real exam and students should be allocated 30 minutes to complete it.

The comprehensive mark scheme allows for easy marking and peer marking.

This paper tests:

• Identification of the research method
• Sampling
• Hypothesis writing
• Pilot study
• Demand characteristics
• Calculation of the mean
• Displaying results from a table into a graph
• Interpretation of the strength & direction of a correlation
• Writing a debrief
