Designed for a mixed ability KS4 class The lesson will last approximately an hour and includes: poem and question (‘The Garden of Love’ by William Blake) with AQA unseen (new 7.1 or old 27.1) style question (layout mirrors exam exactly).
In the lesson students discuss the skills needed to answer the question, look at some example introductions (ranking best to worse) and are set up for an independent task which has been scaffolded and uses sentence stems to suport weaker students.
