This teaching resource explains the work of Dr Trisha Moore, a biological and agricultural engineer based at Kansas State University in the US, whose recent research is focused on understanding how urban tree systems can mitigate the negative impacts of stormwater runoff.

This resource also contains an interview with Dr Moore.

The activity sheet provides ‘talking points’ (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) to prompt students to reflect on Dr Moore’s work and links to find out more about agricultural engineering.
