Volume: A Real Life Project
This volume calculation project gives children the opportunity to apply and use their mathematical skills and knowledge in a real life situation.
In this project students are provided with a letter from a pet shop owner. The owner needs help in making sure the fish are in the correct volume of tank. Students are provided with fish profiles, tank information pages and calculation pages.
This project shows children the importance of maths in our every day life and because of the real life nature of the project students are highly engaged with the task, wanting success.
