Primarily for ESOL / EAL / ESL students, this board game gives the opportunity to practise the simple past of the verb “to be”. Best played in small groups of 2- 4 players who take it in turns to throw a dice and move their counter along the board. The player then says the sentence on the square that they land on, using the correct word - was, were, wasn’t or weren’t. The game has a variety of sentences including positive, negative and questions forms. Can be used with beginner to elementary (A1 - A2) students of any age.
