Weather / Das Wetter

.In this lesson students learn how to describe the weather in the present tense (you can easily adapt this). You may wish to substitute some of the tasks with listening and reading exercises from a textbook, however there should be enough material to cover a full lesson without.

Speaking: Wie ist das Wetter? (Partner and/or whole class questioning)
Grammar: Weather adjectives and verbs - prevent students from always writing 'es ist’
Translation: ideal for mini-whiteboards but can be done in exercise books
Writing: Describe today’s weather
Splat: Can be done one half of room against other or boys vs girls. Teacher describes weather in German and students touch correct picture.
