A really simple but effective session based on reflection

Use this resource to reflect with young people to discover who they are and what they want to become. This resource is versatile and can be used in many different circumstances. One purpose would be to reflect upon behaviour and how they engage with school, do reflect upon choices and how this effects who they are and if they want to be that person.

This resource requires lots of discussion with the young person. E.g. conversation around who they are/what they are doing and what we need to do to get to where they want to be.

Expected outcomes and for young people to reflect on their life and choices now, to become consious of things that are not going great but also the positives (this is important) and then a plan of how they think they should get to “Who they want to be”.

It is important to make young people aware that the reflection is for growth and development e.g. improving behaviour/improving engagement/making better choices. This shouldn’t be used to highlight wrong doings.
