Whole School ( Primary) PE Curriculum Map

This PE Curriculum Map is a Primary School resource. I have recent experience of an Ofsted PE deep dive inspection. I have developed this resource as a consequence of my schools Ofsted inspection ( we were deemed outstanding in PE). This Curriculum Mapping will provide clarity and clear guidance to show what subjects are being taught, why they are being taught the subjects and what knowledge children are acquiring. Critically, this map will provide validation as to why your school is teaching them, and how the children benefit physically and mentally from learning the subjects your school is teaching.

The Curriculum Mapping also provides links to the Pedagogy that contributes towards improving learning and progression in PE. There are numerous links to theories and research to provide some substance and evidence to validate your choice of subjects. The mapping also highlights what knowledge is being attained and provides evidence to show how your PE curriculum is supported PSHE, Pupil Premium children, vulnerable children, cultural Christian and British values. The map also provides in-depth explanations of the progressions in PE between each key stage from Early Years up to Higher Key Stage 2. This Map will contribute towards improving attainment and understanding of the concepts that help develop outstanding PE.
