Winter Alphabet Board Games | Letter Recognition Initial Sounds Activities

This winter-themed set of board games practices recognizing and identifying letters and beginning sounds while keeping kids engaged through play! Plus, “I Can” cards in both English and French give your students more independence during centers. Students will love playing these themed board games so much that they won’t even realize that they’re learning!

HOW TO PLAY:

To play, simply roll a die and have students move the same number of spaces. The rest is up to you! Here are some suggested ways to play:

• Have students name the letter.

• Have students name the sound of the letter.

• Have students name the letter and think of a word that begins with the letter.
