The ‘Breadwinner’ is an astounding piece of animation, telling the story of a young girl brought up under the rule of the Taliban in 2001.
Please find enclosed some lesson reources to help explore some of the issues of the movie including dress code in Islam and arranged marriage.
If you have downloaded my movie resources before, you know that I provide a simple timeline of the key events, a PowerPoint and a tasksheet. I split the film into two halves, but you know your students best and of course can adapt and adjust accordingly.
