Wooden block building cards FREE TRAIN and ROBOT for EYFS

This FREE download consists of two construction cards and children will love the challenge of building this train and robot. They will need standard coloured wooden blocks as shown in the picture. This would make an ideal independent activity for a Preschool or Reception student. Alternatively, they could work alongside an adult to listen to and follow directions to make the model.

This is an excellent task to develop:

• Fine-motor skills
• Problem solving and reasoning skills
• Hand-eye co-ordination
• Language development
• Mathematical understanding – geometry, counting, size, space etc.
• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
