This resource provides a series of World War I posters with a structured activity for students which requires them to analyse each poster as to the nature of propaganda. It requires students to take a structured approach to that analysis and thus teaches them the skills and structure needed to analyse such historical sources independently at GCSE level.
The activity is best done when students know something about the war as this will help understand some of the language and assumptions within some of the posters.
Brief teacher notes and a resource for students to use is provided together with a copy of posters.
Please note this resource is also available as part of the 'Home Front in World War I' study booklet.
