World War One Conflict Poetry - Owen and Sassoon Mini Unit KS3 KS4 English

A small unit of 6 lessons explaining two poems: "Duche et Decorum Est" by Owen and "Suicide in the Trenches" by Sassoon. It includes links to a brilliant documentary. It also contains an assessment, an ICT task based around the context and background of the two poems, an assessment writing frame, analysis and discussion of the poems, homeworks and a creative writing task.

I have removed some learning objectives as they were very specific to the pupil I was working with.

I used it in KS3 English. It could be useful at KS4. The feedback from the boys in the class was particularly interesting and they liked it a lot.
