Writing for Pleasure - 50 'Do Now' Tasks

A booklet containing 50 ‘Do Now’ tasks aimed at encouraging students to write for pleasure. Students should write freely and with limited input from the teacher. This is an opportunity to allow students to develop an enjoyment for writing, just as we allow students time to read for pleasure, it is just as important to devote time to writing for pleasure too.

50 varied writing tasks, each with an image to inspire and a task to complete.

The ‘Do Now’ tasks are designed for 6-10 minutes writing time. The focus should be on quality of writing, not quantity.
