This is a writing intervention programme I have developed and used to engage boys with writing. It is based around a fictinal character called Gravlar. I have the introduction slides, plus a whole host of follow up focused activities. Activities include, creative writing, sentence structure, SPAG, drama, speaking and listening etc. It's not the finished article by a long way but it would fill at least a whole term engaging boys in writing! My boys loved it in year 4, we even did some green screen drama on ipads using videostar (free app). I have uploaded as much as I could find.

Definitely not appropriate for primary school. contains violence,gore and bad language in the video link. It is also based on a game with an age 15 certificate.
This isn't suitable for primary school level - in the clip for the introduction, not only is there swearing, but there is also a beheading. I would be really careful about showing this to children.
Great! I had already collected ideas around the theme of a fantasy land based on these games, we called ours 'Dragonesia'. I used this with the boys(and girls) who didn't have enough imagination of their own to create effective plots or descriptions!
Am I right in thinking that this is based on a game with a certificate 18? Also please be very careful if you use the link to the clip as about 5 minutes in there is swearing (b*****d).
