Writing Recounts Lesson Plans, Model Texts, Writing Frames and Success Criteria (4 lessons)

A set of lesson plans and resources for 4 lessons on writing recounts for Year 2, Year 3 or Year 4, including the following:
- 4 lesson plans on writing recounts
- 2 model examples of recounts
- prompt slides, with images and tips on what to include
- recounts writing frames
- 4 sets of differentiated success criteria for writing recounts

A PDF and an editable version of each file is included.

In each of the first 3 lessons, the children write one section of the recount each day. In the remaining lesson, they write an entire recount in one lesson.

Please note: the lesson plans follow a similar structure and refer to VCOP. The rest of the resources can be used even if you do not use VCOP - you will just need to adapt the lesson plans.
