Writing to Comment Booklet (PDF)

Writing to comment requires students to analyse and evaluate content, whether it’s a piece of literature, a scientific article, or a social issue.

This process enhances their critical thinking skills, encourages their confidence in articulating opinions and helps them to understand different perspectives.

Mr L’s 17-page booklet has an explanation, exercises, quiz and answers.  It also comes with an A4 colour poster, which is a useful aide memoire to help students remember the features of non-fiction writing to comment.
