Wyatt Earp
Subject: History
Age range: 14-16
Resource type: Lesson (complete)
My dear Reader,
This lesson is the seventeen one of a set on American West. ; It looks at Wyatt Earp’s life and his historical importance in the West of US. It aims to have students matching knowledge on ranching and answering exam questions.
All lessons are interactive, have a same-model structure to get the students taught in a coherent manner, and always understand where they are at in their learning:
LO 1: To Order Earp’s life chronologically
LO 2: To explain his importance for the history of Far West
LO3: To compar ehis figure with other gunmen (Billy the Kid)
All tasks are assessed.
A very straight forward lesson.
The resources are at the end of the Power Point.
I also made a lesson 18 on the Fort Laramie Treaty and a 16 on the law enforcers. Also I made a set of work on Law and order.
You might want to look at the sets on Plain Indians, Settlers and Development of the Plains, Law and Order, or the full unit for just £7.71 (24 lessons 100 hours of planning).
