Hello. This is my planning and resources to go with White Rose Maths for Year 2, Autumn Block 2, Addition and Subtraction, week 3. As this was about place value as much as addition and subtraction I found it quite involved and complex so my planning and supporting flips are even more detailed than usual in an effort to be clear. One of my mini-projects for my MA involved teaching an extended three week block on place value and representation with my now grown up Year 2 class. It was hugely effective at securing understanding of place value and I think this one can be too from the small steps and models White Rose have put together, but it is dense. You may find you need to run this over into the following week, but maybe not. I would love to hear how it works for you and your children. As always, the resources are word documents so you can edit them. There are also activprimary, smartboard and PDF flips, and an additional powerpoint flip for this week, just to see if it’s popular. Great resources as always. I have found that I will be able to fit it all in this week. I think there are 2 more weeks of addition and subtraction left. I would love it if you could put both weeks planning and resources on there so I can plan over the half term. Thank you again for such lovely resources.
