This is made for the new Y312 Popular Culture and the Witch craze of the 16th and 17th Centuries new specification for OCR A Level. You will need access to the Access to History textbook for this lesson, and if you have the new Edexcel witchcraze textbook, pages can be used to supplement this lesson (and are indicated on the powerpoint).
Pupils begin by using pre-existing knowledge in a Q and A to describe methods used. Pupils then have a worksheet with guided pages to fill in to enable them to consider all types of methods (excluding 'torture').
This then concludes with some information about the actual outcome of a witch trial, including specific examples.
