Year 2 Maths Block 2 Addition and Subtraction White Rose Planning and resources weeks 3-5 2018

  The unit includes ideas from the NCETM until on addition and subtraction and I have adapted it in light of last year’s teaching. I have kept the older version as well, if you would prefer to use that. All new resources have a 2018 prefix.

This is the second part of my plans and resources. All you need for weeks 3-5 to teach addition and subtraction to Year 2 using the White Rose Small Steps planning guidance.
This resource includes my plans - 15 lessons (including 2 opportunities to review/assess) - I have found it useful to plan these in to spend a little time on intervention, pre teaching or enrichment opportunities for children to consolidate and develop their learning.
All the resources are included for each lesson. Worksheets are differentiated and their are greater depth activities. 34 pages of worksheets in total. I have tried to use the models and images used in the small steps guidance to support practical work with base 10/dienes. I have included these are a word doc and a pdf. We use cursive script at our school and use the terms ‘WALT’ and ‘WILF’ so you may want to change these.
I have also included my in-depth flipchart to accompany the lessons. Lots of examples and models and images. 54 slides in total - clearly labelled which lesson they accompany. I have made this with Activ Inspire but I believe it can be changed into a powerpoint presentation or a smartboard file.
I have also made weeks 1-2 which are available to buy.
