Year 2 Traditional Tales guided reading

1 week of whole class guided reading resources in the genre of traditional tales. This resource includes some innovated traditional tales based on Cinderella and The Three little pigs as well as some more familiar extracts from The Ugly Duckling and Alice in Wonderland.

Each day includes a short extract of text accompanied with a set of questions answer.

The week includes:
Day 1 The three little squirrels - retrieval
Day 2 The three little squirrels - inference
Day 3 Clive (based on Cinderella) - inferences and predictions
Day 4 The Ugly Duckling - predictions
Day 5 Alice in Wonderland - sequencing

Suggestions of extension tasks are also included.
