Year 3 Addition and Subtraction - 3-digit + 2-digit Triple Lesson Bundle (carrying tens)

A triple lesson bundle for Year 3 for adding a 2-digit number to a 3-digit number that requires carrying from the tens.

Included is:
A single introductory lesson that includes:
A fully-resourced lesson aimed at an objective based on being able to add a 2-digit number to a 3-digit number where some carrying is needed.

Included is a lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter, key vocabulary, modelling and discussion as well as guided practice. This then moves on to an independent activity and challenge questions, with answers included for these.

Base 10 will also be needed to support the learning as this acts as an introductory lesson which mixes between using Base 10 and modelling the written addition alongside this.

A follow-up double lesson that includes:
A fully-resourced double lesson aimed at an objective based on being able to add a 2-digit number to a 3-digit number where some carrying is needed from the tens.
