75 slides of Year 3 maths lesson starters on Smart Notebook. Perfect for retrieval practice/‘do now’ or revision. 4 questions per slide.

Each slide includes questions mainly covering place value skills and the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Students can complete the Fast 4 on a mini whiteboard or in their books.

The questions initially focus on addition and subtraction within 20 to support mental arithmetic from KS1. Eventually multiplication, division and fraction fluency quesions appear too. Includes 7 challenge slides that have a twist on the questions (eg word problems, cascading calculations, etc).

Creating retrieval practice lesson starter slides is one of my least favorite things to do - yes it’s easy, but it’s so tedious! So I collected all my fluency slides together in one easy place so I can adapt and reuse instead of starting from scratch every time. Simply copy and paste the slide and tweak as needed.
