I found that using multibase helped visually support the place value for the children - that is what the symbols on the slides refer to but can be removed if necessary.
Each lesson follows a similar format for familiarity and continuity.
This was taught using Target Your Maths - Year 5 for the independent work the children carried. Again, this can be changed to suit your class.
